I would like to begin this letter by thanking all our members. Especially, our board members, for their support and effort to achieve our objective, which is: to ensure our experiences and actions contribute to build the results we expect in our companies.
We started a new year with new expectations, challenges and great faith that this will be a better year than the previous one, it will all depend on our effort and dedication.
We are ready for the World Candle Congress being held in Puerto Rico, on April 4-8 at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa, you cannot miss this event which will be surrounded by a wonderful place full of beautiful nature.
A very fulfilling agenda with interesting activities for all our participants has been prepared, this congress will include relevant topics and beneficial workshops for our industry such as:

- Candle Combustion: How Does It Work?
- The Air Care Market, Fragrance Creation & Consumer Trends: The How & Why Revealed
- The Effects Broadening the Base of the Flame Can Have on Burn Performance
- The Increasing regulatory world for candles
- Stabilizer Technologies and their Functionality in Candle Formulations
- Trends and Issues in Candle Exports from India to the Rest of the World
- Thermoformed Candle Packaging
In addition, the golf tournament will be held again, for all the aficionados to this sport.
It is very rewarding to know that we will be launching a new project “The LUMINARIA Project” which will consist on providing “Casa Cuna de San Juan,” an adoption center for mistreated or abandoned children, with a donation collected from all our members through our registration fees and voluntary gifts. Thanks to your participation ALAFAVE & NCA will build a solidary and indelible contribution. This noble gesture will support the needs of the children from Casa Cuna.
At last but not least, I would like to mention that I’m excited because we will meet and again spend time for a week. We will continue to learn from each other, exchange ideas and experiences, but most importantly, we will be gathered and enlighten by the light of the candles, together, as a family.
