This 2017 is filled with surprises and great news. Last month, on March 11th our Board of Directors met in Miami, Florida, to fulfill a very productive agenda. In addition to the evaluation of the association’s finances and following up on the strategic communications plan for social media; we brought up an important topic: the organization of our ALAFAVE Congress in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I’m pleased to announce that the planning is prospering full steam.
It will be an unforgettable event, with the unrepeatable opportunity to meet new leads, share experiences, create successful partnerships, learn new techniques and skills, acquire the latest information in our industry, market trends, networking, in addition to exchanging ideas with global industry leaders and expand our contact list. All of this at the same place!
To top it all, we’ll have an extraordinary setting: one of the most impressive sun and sea paradises around the world along with the best company. Now that we’ve ensured the best combination, business, pleasure and networking, why not invite our colleagues, suppliers, and industry friends to meet us on July 11-13. In fact, we can start benefiting from the Congress’ opportunities before it officially begins. This group is formed by industry experts and was made to ask questions, concerns and exchange ideas in regards the candle industry. I would like to thank and highlight the outstanding work that the ALAFAVE’s Communication Committee does to integrate our members, by promoting creative ideas to keep us in touch and for communicating actions and information of interest.
The performance of this committee is a demonstration of what we can contribute to the industry. Moreover, I would like to extend an invitation to our candle manufacturers to join our Board of Directors. This is teamwork, where individuals provide input to make important changes in the candle industry.
Lastly, I would like to inform you that as part of the Association’s agenda, I will be participating at the AECM Congress, Association of European Candle Makers. Their event will take place in Taormina, Italy, in the upcoming month of June. I will provide a report on the latest novelties that our colleagues in the old continent will discuss, and any other topic that may be of your interest.
Definitely, we have many reasons to feel enthusiastic and motivated for what is to come in the near future.
